Bio
Dr. Sabouri has performed recitals and concerts all over the U.S. and abroad, including Holland, Sweden, Austria, and Germany. Dr. Sabouri has soloed for the opening of the Edinburugh Festival, as well as with the Texas Chamber Orchestra, Las Vegas Philharmonic, Henderson Symphony, the Early Music Ensemble at the Butler School of Music, and the Ottawa Sinfonette. He has also won first prize in the National Federation of Music Clubs Young Artist Competition, was the national finalist for the Music Teachers National Association Young Artists Division, The Texas Young Artist Competition, and the Coeur D’Alene Competition. He has attended such festivals as IMS Prussia Cove, International Holland Music Sessions, International Sommer Akademie (Semmering, Austria), Aurora Chamber Music Festival (Sweden), Aspen Music festival, London master classes taught by Gyorgy Pauk (Professor of Violin at the Royal Academy of Music in London), and Strings!, featuring members of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Dr. Sabouri has also performed in such orchestras as the Minnesota Orchestra, Pittsburgh Opera, Wheeling Symphony, ROCO, Austin Symphony, and Las Vegas Philharmonic.
Dr. Sabouri is very passionate about music education and has been a clinician for private and public schools across the country. Additionally, he is the Founder and Artistic Director of Texas Strings Camp, which is held in Austin TX. Dr. Sabouri has also taught at other summer festivals, including Encore Chamber Music, Omaha Conservatory of Music, and the Brian Lewis Young Artist program.
