ROCO’s Season 18 In Concert series wraps up with a look toward our “Future,” on April 29 at The Church of St. John the Divine! This performance will also be livestreamed free at ROCO.org, Facebook, YouTube, and A440.live.
In a program inspired by daring creativity and artistic innovation, conductor Michelle Merrill makes her ROCO debut, leading the orchestra in the premiere of a ROCO-commissioned orchestral work by Juno award-winner Vivian Fung, Parade. Louise Farrenc’s fiery Symphony No. 1 also features, with Igor Stravinsky’s suite from the ballet Pulcinella, and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Overture to the Creatures of Prometheus appropriately rounds out our 18th Season as we’re joined by Houston’s musical future: the Houston Youth Symphony!
