Curated by and featuring ROCO violinist Eva Burmeister, this ROCO Connections concert transforms the Steinway Selection Center of Houston into a gathering place for music and conversation.
Joined by Tyler Duncan, baritone, and Erika Switzer, piano, Eva pairs the violin with the warmth of the human voice in a program of songs told in three chapters: An die Musik, a tribute to music itself; Enchanted Evening, a turn toward nightfall; and Folks Listen Up, a gathering of folk songs and Shakespeare settings. Along the way, hear favorites by Schubert, Brahms, Saint-Saëns, and Beethoven alongside a new commission by composer Mark Buller. Audiences will experience music at its most personal, where every phrase feels like a conversation among friends.
