You’re invited to join us in celebration of ROCO’s 20th season, marking a triumphant journey of innovation and excellence in classical music!
On Saturday, September 28th, ROCO will kick off its milestone year with its season-opening concert followed by the Revelry Gala at the Thompson Houston Hotel.
Over two decades, ROCO has redefined the concert experience, energizing audiences with captivating performances, groundbreaking commissions, and unparalleled access to classical music. This soon-to-be-sold-out event will honor Mimi Lloyd‘s passionate, long-standing support of ROCO and our arts community as a whole. Also being honored is Chris Shepherd as the Wildcatting in the Arts Awardee. This award is given annually to an individual with a trailblazing spirit who drives innovation within the arts and our creative community.
ROCO is thrilled to recognize SheSpace as its Corporate Philanthropy Awardee, for its years of loyal partnership with ROCO and efforts to build a community that supports women’s needs and is also welcoming of the arts. Leslie, Ginger, and Elizabeth Blanton lead the charge with their multigenerational enthusiasm as this year’s Revelry event chairs, joined by PaperCity as the media sponsor.
The proceeds from this impactful gala will support all of ROCO’s Access and Outreach initiatives. ROCO is committed to bringing classical music to everyone in the world, with their music being streamed on all seven continents! ROCO access initiatives also include pay-what-you-wish tickets and livestreaming for free to the world since 2013. Additional access initiatives include ROCO on the Go, using QR codes linking to their music along trails and placed in hospitals, parks, and schools, with 45,000 scans and counting, and Musicians with a Mission, a groundbreaking blueprint for authentic outreach in performing arts.
