As one of the first board members when ROCO was founded 20 years ago, I invite you to join me in celebrating two decades of groundbreaking classical music with the ROCO chamber orchestra. Since 2005, I have proudly watched ROCO grow from a few bold and innovative concerts in those first few seasons to a trailblazing, internationally-recognized disruptor in classical music (that is, of course, in the best way possible!)
The proceeds from this impactful gala will support all of ROCO’s Access and Outreach initiatives. ROCO is committed to bringing classical music to everyone in the world – yes, their music has been streamed on all seven continents!
These are just some of the ways ROCO connects our community through music:
- Pay-what-you-wish tickets to the majority of their season’s concerts
- Livestreaming for free to the world since 2013
- ROCO on the Go, using QR codes linking to their music along trails and placed in hospitals, parks, and schools with 45,000 scans and counting
- Musicians with a Mission, a groundbreaking blueprint for authentic outreach in performing arts
- Welcoming multiple communities to ROCO concerts for free, such as Vet Tix, English as a Second Language programs, and Girl Scouts
