ROCO, Houston’s Chamber Orchestra, is delighted to announce Revelry 2026, a vibrant celebration after our opening concert on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
The evening begins at 5:00 p.m. at The Church of St. John the Divine with our opening concert, Eyes on the Horizon, featuring ROCO’s world-class, 40-member chamber orchestra conducted by Delyana Lazarova and featuring new commissions from composers Alison Shearer and Leanna Primiani.
At 7:30 p.m., the evening continues with the Revelry gala at ARTECHOUSE Houston,
the immersive gallery space in the Houston Heights that sets the stage for an evening of joy and connection as we celebrate the start of another season of accessible, approachable, bold, and innovative ROCO programming.
This season, Revelry 2026 will celebrate three extraordinary champions of the arts whose leadership, creativity, and commitment have made a lasting impact on our community.
Our Wildcatting in the Arts Awardee is Chloe Dao, the acclaimed Houston-based fashion designer and winner of the second season of Project Runway, whose artistry, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit have inspired audiences across the country.
Receiving the Corporate Pillar of the Arts Award is Munck Wilson Mandala, one of the nation’s leading AI-focused law firms. Through its dedication of time, resources, and expertise, the firm advances initiatives that create meaningful change and strengthen communities. Houston Managing Partner John Cain has also been a longtime ROCO supporter and trusted advisor.
We are also proud to honor Amy Gibbs, ROCO’s longtime Managing Director, whose vision, leadership, and dedication helped shape a remarkable period of growth for the organization. This June, Amy began an exciting new chapter as a Program Officer for Arts & Culture at Houston Endowment, and we are delighted to celebrate her many contributions to ROCO and the broader arts community.
At its heart, Revelry is about connecting to celebrate the start of a new season of impact that lasts all year long. Your participation supports ROCO’s mission of shaping the future of classical music through robust commissioning from living composers, as well as unique initiatives like Pay-What-You-Wish ticketing, free livestreamed concerts reaching audiences worldwide, a growing on-demand listening library online, ROCO on the Go experiences across Houston, and Musicians with a Mission, an innovative outreach program created and led by Principal Clarinetist Nathan Williams that brings live performances into hospice care and senior living communities.
ROCO is proud to partner with PaperCity Magazine Houston as the Official Media Sponsor for the 2026 Revelry gala.
