Daniel Chrisman joined ROCO in October of 2008, when we celebrated Houston’s recovery from Hurricane Ike in a concert conducted by JoAnn Falletta. Chrisman resides in Austin where he plays for the Austin Symphony, Ballet Austin, Austin Opera and several chamber ensembles. He is the adjunct professor of bassoon at Southwestern University and is a private lesson instructor on staff for several Austin area school districts. His collegiate instructors were Peter Simpson at the University of Kentucky (BM, performance), Matthew Karr at the University of Louisville and Danny Matsukawa at Temple University (MM, performance). When not playing his bassoons, Daniel loves working on his fitness and spending time with his friends and family.
