ROCO’s Season Six Opener featured guest conductor, JoAnn Falletta, conducting Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 3, “Scottish”, Ligeti’s Concert Românesc, and the world premiere of Scott McAllister’s Concerto for Double Bass and Chamber Orchestra, performed by ROCO bassist, Sandor Ostlund. And as a surprise piece, the orchestra performed Piazzolla’s Oblivion with Principal Oboist, Alecia Lawyer, as soloist. Performed at The Church of St. John the Divine, Houston, TX, on Oct 16, 2010.
