The Unchambered series continues into the new year with “Unraveled”, a unique program featuring and curated by French hornist Danielle Kuhlmann, telling her own coming-of-age story through music.
In addition to a co-commissioned premiere by Jim Stephenson, the evening will include works by Herzogenberg, Mozart, Charlie Chaplin (yes, that Charlie Chaplin!), and Danielle’s own brother, Evan Kuhlmann. His Sonata for Horn and Piano was written to honor Alice Render, one of Danielle’s first teachers and mentors.
Joining Danielle in performance will be ROCO musicians Gavin Reed, horn; Alecia Lawyer, oboe, and Andreea Muţ, piano.
Come early to enjoy a glass of wine at our pre-concert reception beginning at 4:30 pm, and – bring your horn-related questions, as we “unravel” its mystery in an interactive Q&A with Danielle during the concert!
